The Task To design an ultrasonic welding machine that can simultaneously cut and seal tarpaulin eyelets. Technical fabrics are used in all walks of life and the challenge of simplifying eyeleting operations is successfully accomplished by using ultrasonic technology. The Solution In this case, the challenge was successfully completed by designing an ultrasonic welding machine consisting of a USP 3000 press, IWC-5, and cutting controller (the horn comes in contact with the fixture while cutting the eyelet, so the cutting controller prevents the horn from damage) and a specially designed horn & fixture arran gement making two eyelets at a time.
